“Proud to have this level of quality right here in the Netherlands”

Marc Meijer imported his dream car from America: a Jaguar E-Type V12 Roadster from 1973. He was told it was in bad shape. This turned out to be an understatement, and restoring it himself as he had planned was no longer an option. A friend recommended Noble House.

“There was no way back,” Marc Meijer sighs, thinking back to the evaluation Noble House carried out for him. “Kees Huis in ’t Veld presented me with a huge list of faults. He didn’t pull any punches and was completely honest with me; the restoration was going to cost a lot more money than I had budgeted. But the alternative, to sell the car again – leaving the mess to someone else – just isn’t my style. And selling it at a loss didn’t appeal to me either. The E-type was my dream car after all and I wanted to stick with my project. What’s more, Noble House inspired confidence in me.”

During the time that his E-type was being restored, Marc became more and more impressed by the professional craftsmanship and working methods of Noble House. “To start with, the personal contact is pleasant. Everything is done courteously and professionally. They never hide anything that is going to happen to the car. It was hard to take when new problems just continued to appear, but they were always clearly communicated. And I know Noble House has the expertise to deal with all aspects of this car in house. This makes a very professional impression. It is also remarkably tidy and clean throughout the company. Quite a relief in comparison with some other car companies I know.

Now that the work on the Jaguar is finished, Marc Meijer is living his childhood dream to the hilt. “This is sheer enjoyment for me. We are still going to replace the gearbox with a modern one, because the original gearbox isn’t working so well. I knew that in advance, it’s an old timer after all, it’s okay to feel the difference! But it overheats while I’m driving. I’m planning to make longer trips with the car, so I want a new gearbox put in. Spain is next on the list. With the top down whenever possible. Which was also renovated by Noble House. Perfect job.”

“As a mechanical engineer and owner of technical employment agency Connect, I know how hard it is to find good technical staff and to let them work together smoothly as a team. It makes me proud to see Noble House, as a Dutch company, succeeding at this. Only the best work here, and they have returned my car to mint condition.”
